Pluggable PC board terminals with rising cage technology
24.11.09
The new Wieland Electric wiecon 8184 Z type PC board terminals are, in particular, used in air conditioning and ventilation technology. A special feature is the screw connection with rising cage technology. The maximum clamping body is provided through the use of the rising cage clamp, which also makes repeated connections easy. This is not the case with the screw connection with wire protection that is usually used at the moment.
The PC board terminals in a 5.0 mm spacing are designed for rated cross-sections from 0.14 to 1.5 mm. They can be used in the temperature range between -40 and 100°C, and for a short time even 140°C. The 2-pole to 12-pole terminals can be adjacently mounted without loss of pole position. The user can choose between wiecon 8142 Z for connection to pin headers, wiecon 8142 Z RF with mounting flanges on the base plate for attachment to the housing and wiecon 8142 Z F2 with lateral mounting flanges for attachment to the housing. The innovative mounting options are ideal for surface-mounted two-part housings.
The RoHS-compliant terminals have UL and CSA approval for the North American market. They are, for example, used for climate and access controls.
