The PV junction box from Wieland Electric for photovoltaic modules in thin film technology is characterized by its small design. It is pre-assembled with connection cables and PST 40i1 DC connectors, is delivered complete with adhesive pads and contact inserts, and is available either with or without a bypass diode. Cable lengths and cross sections can be selected upon request as required for the application.

The junction box can be mounted easily and quickly directly at the back of solar modules and is suitable for both Tedlar films and glass. The maximum rated current is 5 A; the maximum permissible current for bypass operation is 2 A. The module junction box satisfies the IP67 protection class and can be used in temperatures ranging between -40 and 85 °C. It is certified by TÜV and fulfills standard DIN V VDE 0126-5/05.08.
