Industrial multipole connectors quickly configured online

20.04.09

With a few mouse clicks from individual parts to the complete industrial multipole connector.

The interactive configurator from Wieland Electric considerably simplifies the selection of industrial multipole connectors from the revos product family. With a few mouse clicks the user configures the desired custom connector from a pool of more than 1500 individual parts: target-oriented, time-saving and error-free. No time-consuming search in the catalog.

The software tool includes male and female inserts as well as hoods and bases for the housings which can only be combined in a technically feasible combination. Misconfigurations are not permitted. In doing so the order in which the components and product groups are selected is not important.

Users can access the tool on the Internet via www.wieland-electric.com/Produkte/Industriesteckverbinder where they register free of charge using a password. A Flash animated product tour shows how to use the configurator. Search wizards provide some technical selection criteria such as connection technology, number of poles, current, voltage, cross section, etc.

The navigation window itself is divided into three panes, provides various configuration levels at a time and guides the user to the shopping cart.

As a special feature the software even offers the possibility of configuring the modular industrial multipole connectors from series revos FLEX. The individual modules are selected via drag & drop and placed in the module frames. The software automatically considers the matching frame and housing sizes, provided that no special indications were made in advance.

Five steps take you to the goal:

1) Access the tool via www.wieland-electric.com

2) Enter the configuration and select a configuration method

3) Configure the male and female inserts as well as the hood and base for the housing

4) Define the accessories

5) Finish the configuration and send the request
