Individual generator connection boxes for DC connections

In large photovoltaic systems, the various module strings are grouped together in a generator connection box on the DC side. Only two DC lines with large cross-sections are then fed into the inverter. The series connection of the solar modules in a string means that system voltages of up to 1000 V DC can be achieved. The strings connected in parallel in the generator connection box often achieve total currents of over 100 A.
